Why TikTok rejects this

TikTok uses the age group for audience targeting. It has no teen or all ages group.

TikTok-specific note

TikTok's age groups are newborn (0-3 months), infant (3-12 months), toddler (1-5 years), kids (5-13 years) and adult (13 or older). There's no teen or all ages group: use adult for teens, and leave age_group blank for products meant for everyone.

Valid values / expected format

  1. ✓newborn
  2. ✓infant
  3. ✓toddler
  4. ✓kids
  5. ✓adult

How StriveFormats detects this

StriveFormats checks the age_group column against the exact list of accepted values for TikTok. The comparison is case-sensitive, so any difference in capitalization or spelling is flagged as an invalid value.

►Technical detail
TikTok's importer checks this field against a fixed list of accepted values. These are often short codes for internal settings; for example, "active" and "draft" set whether a product is visible. The match is exact and case-sensitive: an extra space, different capitalization, or a synonym (like "enabled" instead of "active") gets the value rejected. The allowed values can change between platform versions, so always check the latest template.
