Questions
Why not just use Save As CSV in Excel?
Excel's CSV export uses your computer's regional encoding, can switch to semicolons, and writes long numbers the way they're displayed. This tool writes UTF-8 with commas and keeps every digit.
How are dates written?
As YYYY-MM-DD (with the time when there is one), which every platform understands.
Can I convert old .xls files?
Not directly. Open the file in Excel or Google Sheets and save it as .xlsx first.
